MADURAI: The post of university Vice-Chancellor is always in very great demand all over India. The same was the case with Alagappa University at Karaikudi in Tamil Nadu also. The list of applications received for the post of Vice-Chancellor for Alagappa University has showed that 162 candidates have applied for the VC post of this university. Some names in this list are very common names as these persons are repeatedly applying and trying their luck to sit in the VC chair. The last date to submit applications was 2nd July 2021 and 162 applications were received by the Alagappa University Search Committee which was formed by the government to select a new Vice-Chancellor for Alagappa University, Karaikudi.
