MADURAI: The Madurai RPF personnel were given national awards by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs which had introduced ‘Utkrishta Seva Medal’ and ‘Athi Utkrishta Seva Medal’ during the year 2019 for Police/Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) Personnel appreciating their excellent performance to the Nation during their service period.
Three RPF personnel of Madurai Division have been awarded Home Minister’s special operation medal ‘Utkrishta Seva Padak’ this year. They are: 1. Shri.T.Arumugapandian, Head Constable who is presently king as Head Constable at Sengottai. His integrity and dedication in detection/disposal of many RP (UP) and RA pending trial cases in the Hon’ble court falling in the jurisdiction of RPF Post Sengottai deserve special mention. As a good sportsman, he has participated in several tournaments and brought laurels to RPF wing and Railways.
2. Shri.V.Balasubramanian, Head Constable: Mr. V. Balasubramanian, is working as Head Constable at Tiruchendur Out Post for the past 5 years. The renders assistance in registration/Prosecution of RP (UP) Act & Railway act cases as well as daily updation of all the records maintained in the OutPost. His dedication in ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning of the RPF outpost is commendable.
3. Shri.N.Visakaran, Head Constable: Shri.N.Visakaran, appointed in the force as a constable in the year 1998, is presently working as Head Constable at Tirunelveli RPF. His matchless efforts in conducting Checks/Raids in preventing crime against passengers as well as Railway property yielded good results. He performs duties with dedication and his passenger-friendly approach earned accolades.
V.R.Lenin, Divisional Railway Manager, Lalit Kumar Mansukhani, ADRM and Anbarasu, Divisional Security Commissioner had congratulated the awardees. Besides, Shri. M Rajendran, Head Constable, RPF, Chennai got ‘Athi Utkrishta Seva Medal’ and Shri K.Prabhu, Inspector/RPF/CBI/Chennai, Shri Saji Augustin, Asst.Sub-Inspector/CIB/RPF/Palakkad, Smt.M.D.Nirmala, Women RPF Constable, Chennai Beach have also got ‘Utkrisht Seva Medals’ this year.
