MADURAI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) seems to be facing a tough time and revolt in its senior leader H.Raja’s hometown Karaikudi in Sivaganga district of Tamil Nadu. On 21st June 2021, the BJP Karaikudi town president K.Chandran has tendered his resignation from his post alleging that he is facing a life threat from BJP senior leader H.Raja’s son-in-law Mr.R.Surya alias Suryanarayanan and hence he is quitting as Karaikudi Town BJP president. The ‘Lotus Times’ website from Madurai had contacted Mr.Chandran over phone and he had confirmed that he expressed his fears to the Sivaganga District president of BJP Mr.Selvarajan, through a letter.
“I worked hard for this party in Karaikudi for the past four years and during the recent Assembly elections. If anything happens to me or to anyone in my circle, it will be the responsibility of H.Raja, his son-in-law R.Surya (he contacted me and threatened me) and also the BJP district vice-president S.V.Narayanan,” the resignation cum complaint letter sent to BJP’s Sivaganga district president Mr.Selvarajan has said. Our website is gathering full details about this latest development in Karaikudi BJP because the entire blame was put on H.Rajs’ son-in-law.- on June 21st 2021.
