MADURAI: Apollo Speciality Hospitals in Madurai has set up COVID vaccination booth at Mahatma Montessori Higher Secondary School in K.K.Nagar in Madurai to step up its corona vaccination drive covering people in all age groups including 18 to 45 years. The hospital has made all required arrangements and 1,000 slots have been allocated daily for people to get vaccinated.
Dr.Rohini Sridhar, Chief Operating Officer of Apollo Hospitals in Madurai Division told reporters at a press conference held here today- on 28th May 2021- that this special vaccination booth was set up because of huge demand coming in from various quarters. “The number of jabs being delivered will be increased in coming months…..We are also focusing on preventing vaccine wastage,” she said according to a press release received today. (People have to register on the CoWIN app or Arogya Setu app and book their appointment slot before going to the Apollo’s vaccination centre at Mahatma School).
Mrs.Premalatha Paneerselvam, founder and correspondent of Mahatma Group of Schools, Madurai, has said that COVID vaccination is the only way to stop the virus spread and corona cases pandemic. Dr.Praveen Rajan, Assistant Director of Medical Services, Apollo Hospital-Madurai and Mr.K.Manikandan, General Manager (Marketing) of Apollo Hospital, Madurai, were present at the pressmeet held in Madurai on 28th May 2021 (Friday) to give details about COVID vaccination.
