MADURAI: The Madurai Corporation is putting in lot of efforts for COVID treatment. As a part of that, a 100-bed Siddha Care Centre for mild corona patients was today opened – on 26th May 2021 Wednesday- at Nehru Vidyasala in Anaiyur in Madurai. Tamil Nadu Minister for Commercial Taxes and Registrations Mr.P.Moorthy had inaugurated the Siddha treatment centre for COVID patients which was started jointly with Madurai Plot Promoters Association, in the presence of Madurai District Collector Mr.Aneesh Sekhar, Madurai Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan, City Health Officer Dr.Kumaraguruparan and others.
A press release from Madurai Corporation here today had informed that the Siddha COVID care treatment centre at Anaiyur is having 100 beds and food will be provided three times daily besides giving siddha medicines / 24 hour doctor care. Siddha care centres for giving treatment to Corona patients were also opened at American College( 200 beds) and at Yadava Women’s College (110 beds) in Madurai recently. The Madurai Corporation is implementing various measures to control COVID cases in Madurai.
Among those who were present at Anaiyur centre today include MLAs Boominathan and A.Venkatesan and DRO Mrs.Senthilkumari.
