MADURAI: Former Vice-Chancellor of Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) Prof.P.Chellathurai has donated his one month pension of Rs.84,411 to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund as his contribution to the State government and Chief Minister Mr.M.K.Stalin’s efforts to contain COVID cases and undertake Corona control and relief measures across the State.
On 23rd May 2021 (Sunday), former MKU Vice-Chancellor Prof.Chellathurai has said in a message that: “As a little support to the messaive efforts of the Government of Tamil Nadu, I am contributing my one month pension amount of Rs.84,411 to the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund. From my side, I am also making a few suggestions humbly to the honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for controlling Corona cases and COVID infection,” he said and added that the suggestions are tweeted to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister today- on May 23rd 2021- Sunday.
