MADURAI: The role of Railways in streamlining oxygen supply for COVID care across India is becoming a massive life-saving mission as the 12th Oxygen Express carrying medical oxygen from Rourkela in Odisha has reached the container depot at Tondiarpet in Chennai today evening- on 20th May 2021- Thursday- at 5.10 pm.
According to information received from railway sources here, the Oxygen Express from Odisha had reached Chennai today evening carrying 65 Metric Tonnes of Oxygen. So far, totally 649 Metric Tonnes of oxygen was supplied to Tamil Nadu through railway trains, at a very crucial time when COVID patients and hospitals need medical oxygen urgently.
