MADURAI: The Siddha COVID Care Centre which was started at the American College in Madurai is providing corona treatment for ‘mild patients’ through Siddha methods. Madurai Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan has today (May 20th 2021) visited American College here as a part of his Corona control and prevention inspection measures in the city.
In American College campus in Madurai, the Corporation had set up a 200-bed Sidha COVID Care Centre jointly with the Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the American College, for treating Corona positive patents. Right now, there are 45 persons who are undergoing treatment at this siddha care treatment centre in American College, according to a press release received from the Madurai Corporation here today. Siddha care centres to treat COVID patients with mild infection are also there at Yadava Women’s College and at Nehru Vidyasala in Aanaiyur here. Siddha doctors are available round-the-clock to provide 24X7 treatment.
Herbal concoctions, siddha medicines, breathing exercises, yoga etc are a part of the treatment for patients. The Corona patients with mild infection can go to these siddha centres in Madurai and get admitted there for treatment, the press release added.
Mr.N.Jegatheesan, president, Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce, and corporation officials were present during the Madurai Corporation Commissioner’s inspection of Siddha care centre for Corona patients at American College here on 20th May 2021- Thursday.
