MADURAI: Following the nationwide call given by the Central government and Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi, the important ‘TIKA UTSAV’ to administer Corona vaccine / to inoculate and vaccinate the people against COVID virus infection has started in Madurai city on April 14th 2021. The ‘TIKA UTSAV’ special Corona virus vaccination camp was inaugurated at Setupathi Higher Secondary School in Madurai city today by the Madurai Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan in the presence of senior corporation officials and Madurai City Health Officer Dr.Kumaraguruparan, a press release from the Madurai Corporation here today informed.
The press release had informed that Corona vaccine is being administered free in 31 primary health centres in the city covering urban limits and in 9 mini clinics. The Madurai Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan has appealed to the people of Madurai city to tell their family members, relatives, friends, neighbours and all others who are known to them (above 45 years of age) to go for COVID vaccination in order to prevent the Corona virus infection spread in Madurai city.
