MADURAI: The BJP is a vehement critic of DMK. But, the new entrants into the BJP – film actress Kushboo and Dr.P.Saravanan- have made it to the top national headlines today as the BJP had announced them as assembly constituency candidates today- on 14th March 2021- giving them tickets from Thousand Lights constituency in Chennai (for actress Kushboo who had a stint in the DMK earlier) and DMK MLA Dr.P.Saravanan from Madurai who had joined the saffron party only today at the Tamil Nadu BJP State headquarters in Chennai ‘Kamalalayam’. Both are new comers to the BJP and they got a ticket to contest the TN assembly elections to be held on April 6th 2021. A large number of BJP functionaries are disappointed in Madurai today and held a demonstration in Madurai for denying assembly ticket to Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan expected to contest from Madurai North Assembly constituency. (DMK MLA Dr.P.Saravanan was given the BJP ticket for Madurai North).
