MADURAI: A public alert cum warning was given by the Madurai Corporation here today- on 22nd December 2020 – through a press release- asking the city residents to follow the Corporation rules with regard to cleaning of septic tanks- sewage clearing- drainage cleaning works in their local areas with private vehicles.
Taking into account the public interest and public complaints, the Madurai Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan has issued a press statement today that proper permission from the Corporation authorities here must be taken before getting private septic tank cleaners- private septic tank vehicles into the private premises for sewage suction.
The Madurai Corporation authorities got full information about Ward 16 in Zone-1, near Chinthamani channel TB Road, from where complaints were received about private septic tank sewage suction cleaning vehicles were received. A fine of Rs.2,000 was collected and the private septic tank vehicle was seized here today.
