MADURAI: The ‘Lotus Times’ website has received some piece of information from sources that a woman doctor from Madurai has posed as a teaching faculty and professor-HoD- at a private medical college in Chennai on a couple of occasions in the last ten years during the time of Medical Council of India (MCI) inspection.
Information was received today- on 4th November 2020- and we are taking steps to verify the accuracy of this serious allegation about a practicing doctor from Madurai who had ‘acted’ in the private medical college in Chennai.
The MCI undertakes periodical inspection of medical colleges for renewal of recognition and sanctioning additional medical college seats before giving its final approval. Sources said today that the doctors who posed as faculty of a particular private medical college were given ‘gifts’ etc by that college management. The private medical college is located near Koyambedu in Chennai, sources added and our website is making efforts to establish the authenticity of this allegation.
