MADURAI: The good rains in Madurai city in the last few days, especially on 30th October 2020, is being well utilized by the Madurai Corporation for rain water storage in tanks and water bodies here.
A press release from the Madurai Corporation here today – on 1st November 2020- informed that the rain water storage in Mariamman Temple Teppakulam in Madurai city, Tallakulam, Town Hall Road, Managiri, Tiruppalai, Anuppanadi, Kosakulam, Kamban Oorani,
Kattabomman Statue north side, Thanga Regal Theatre area, Maattuthavani Saathaiyaru, Ulaganeri, Masthanpatti etc has been increased because of quick steps taken by the Corporation to well utilize and store the rainwater.
Deep bore wells have been identified and ground water table is being increased, the press release has said.
