MADURAI: AIADMK MLA representing the Madurai North Assembly constituency and a former Mayor of Madurai Corporation Mr.V.V.Rajan Chellappa has extended his support by giving Rs.35.20 lakhs for important works by giving funding support from the MLA Constituency Development Fund.
On 21st September 2020, a new bus shelter was inaugurated near the Government Rajaji Hospital (Panagal Road GRH annexe building) by Madurai Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan and MLA Mr.V.V.Rajan Chellappa. In this bus shelter, 15 persons can sit. It was constructed at a cost of Rs.10 lakhs near the GRH’s extension building on Panagal Salai here in the city, a press release from Madurai Corporation today informed.
The Madurai North MLA Mr.Rajan Chellappa had totally given Rs.35.20 lakhs from the MLA Constituency Development Fund to create good facilities for the people here. From this fund, purified drinking water supply(1,000 litre capacity R.O plant) was provided at Jawaharpuram and at Muniyandikoil Street (each Rs.12.60 lakhs).
Among those present at today’s event to inaugurate the bus shelter / purified drinking water supply system- include Corporation Chief Engineer Mr.Arasu, Executive Engineer Mr.Rajendran, Corporation PRO Mr.Chithravel and others.
