MADURAI: A private hospital in Madurai city has charged nearly Rs.17 lakhs for a COVID-19 patient who underwent treatment for Corona infection for three weeks. The male patient is 50 years old. Preliminary information received from sources today said that the hospital is near TPK Road in Madurai and this patient got admitted in the month of July and discharged in the first week of August 2020.
The ‘Lotus Times‘ website is verifying the facts and the reason for giving such a huge medical bill for treatment of a Corona affected patient. The website has contacted the hospital on 13th September 2020 and awaiting for full details.
