Kerala University journalism topper broadcasts her plans

Thiruvananthapuram: A bold, budding and a buzzing journalist is set to broadcast her voice from Kerala very soon in the media field with her skills in mass communication.

Yes. Sreya Krishna.R. who obtained Kerala University first rank this year 2020 in B.A.Journalism with Mass Communication and Video Production is set to reach heights in journalism. She was a student of A.J.College of Science and Technology at Thonnakkal in Thiruvananthapuram.

After getting the varsity results two days ago, she issued a thanking statement on 10th September 2020. “I used to imitate TV news presenters in my childhood. It became a passion for my life thanks to my parents Mr.K.Ramanathan and Mrs.E.Savithri who encouraged me to pursue my dream. I am very happy to achieve university first rank with the support of my teachers, parents, classmates and my younger sister Lalitha.R. who is now pursuing for Ayurveda Medicine (BAMS). Obtaining Kerala University First Rank boosts me up further with confidence,” journalism course topper Ms.Sreya Krishna has said in a press statement received by ‘Lotus Times’ news website – www.lotustimes.org- yesterday.

Hailing from Valiyasala locality in Thiruvananthapuram city, Ms.Sreya is set to achieve success as her plans are clear. She is ready to study a PG course for television broadcast journalism with technical capability. This first ranker is waiting to join a reputed university. She is taking up journalism field as a passion, mission and as a challenge because from her childhood she wanted to do something for the people and society through the media field.

Her father Mr.K.Ramanathan who is working in a private concern as an accountant is a very happy man and he shared his happiness when English news website ‘Lotus Times’ contacted him from Madurai over phone on 11th September 2020. “I am very proud of my daughter. My wife and her sister are very happy. Two days back, the Kerala University results were published……and Sreya is aiming for big in the field of journalism,” Mr.Ramanathan has said today.

She studied at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Cotton Hill, Vazhuthucaud and higher secondary schooling in St.Marys, Pattom, Thiruvananthapuram.

As she prepares for journalism profession to highlight societal issues, justice and also aim to meet top personalities as a reporter, Ms.Sreya is rightly anchoring her moves to become a good news anchor for a national news channel in future.
