MADURAI: The Vice-Chancellor of Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) Prof.M.Krishnan is taking swift measures and tough action on the questions or allegations being raised in answer-sheet revaluation / inserting of answer papers etc in the varsity’s Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) here.
It has come to light that there were some wrongdoings in university’s correspondence courses section in the exam held in February 2020 and hence the Vice-Chancellor Dr.M.Krishnan has formed a high level panel to probe fully into that. The meeting of this MKU investigation committee took place on 21st August 2020 here and sources said today that Vice-Chancellor Prof.M.Krishnan is very serious in this matter and disciplinary action will be taken once the enquiry report is ready.
“In revaluation, more than 15 extra were given……who were the candidates who wrote the exams and applied for revaluation? In which centre it happened…….Were the staff in university’s DDE wing- correspondence course section involved in this?……All these aspects are now presently being probed by a separate committee consisting of senior MKU officials including its Syndicate Members, Vice-Chancellor and Registrar,” sources have told ‘Lotus Times’ English website www.lotustimes.org here on 25th August 2020.
Action will be taken against the study centre involved in this examination rules violation-irregularity. “The MKU top team is investigating on those who are behind in giving more than 15 extra marks in revaluation, who recommended that, why no third valuation was not done and who were the assistant registrar- or deputy registrar level officials of MKU involved in this farce,” a top level source said here today.
