MADURAI: Tamil Nadu Minister Mr.Sellur K.Raju today inspected various places in Madurai city to inspect the works being carried out under ‘Smart City’ project.
On 20th August 2020, Mr.Sellur Raju had inspected the civil construction works going on at the famous Tamukkam Ground here and asked officials about the works in progress for Madurai Convention Centre that is coming up at this popular spot called Tamukkam Ground.
The Tamukkam Ground in Madurai is very ancient because of queen Rani Mangammal association from this place since the year 1670.
Now, a huge Convention Centre is being constructed at Madurai Tamukkam Ground at a cost of Rs.45.55 crore. Minister Mr.Sellur K.Raju and Madurai Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan today went to Tamukkam Ground to oversee the progress of works being done under ‘Smart City’ project. Seating capacity and parking facility in a large number are coming up at this convention centre in Madurai.
