MADURAI: The Tamil Nadu BJP is going to suffer a major jolt very soon as its senior leader and State vice-president Mr.Nainar Nagendran is in close touch with the DMK and set to quit the BJP in a couple of weeks, political sources told ‘Lotus Times’ news website today evening- on 2nd August 2020.
Mr.Nainar Nagendran, who was a senior leader in the AIADMK and a former Minister, is vexed with the treatment meted out to him by the saffron party in Tamil Nadu. “Talks are over with the DMK leadership…..and he is all set to quit the BJP in Tamil Nadu. Mr.Nainar Nagendran is disturbed and hence this decision. He was not given a due role in BJP. There are several of hos followers from Tirunelveli district and in Tamil Nadu who are waiting for his final decision. Talks with the DMK for his entry are over,” political sources said today.
The main reason cited by sources for Mr.Nainar Nagendran to go with the DMK is that the DMK needs a strong experienced political leader in Tirunelveli district “and Nainar Nagendran emerged as right choice.”
