MADURAI: The Tamil Nadu Foodgrains Merchants Association has given a memorandum to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Mr.Edappadi K.Palanisamy to make arrangements for bringing back migrant workers to Tamil Nadu.
Association president Mr.S.P.Jeyapragasam wrote a letter to CM on 18th July 2020 to arrange special trains and bring back the migrant workers who had left Tamil Nadu for their homes States because of Corona cases and lockdown. “Migrant workers are willing to come back for work. Industries, hotels, ports, construction sites etc need more workforce. They must be brought back from States like Odisha, UP, Bihar and West Bengal,” Mr.Jeyapragasam has appealed.
