MADURAI: Telangana Governor Dr.Tamilisai Soundararajan has said that great leader Kamaraj would have supported Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi’s demonetization decision had he been alive today.
“Karmaveerar Kamaraj is a great personality. Mr.Modi spoke to the people of India a few weeks after announcing demonetisation. At that time, our PM said that country’s great icons like Lal Bahadur Shastri, Jayaprakash Narayan, K.Kamaraj and Ram Manohar Lohia would have supported demonetisation because the goal is to eradicate corruption and black money,” she said.
Dr.Tamilisai Soundararajan had addressed the 118th birth anniversary celebration function held at Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) here on 15th July 2020 through videoconferencing. The birth anniversary of Kamaraj is observed as Education Development Day with special focus on skill development among youth of this country.
MKU Vice-Chancellor Prof.M.Krishnan delivered presidential address while Desiya Chinthanai Kazhagam representatives offered felicitations. Speeches were delivered about Kamaraj to highlight his multidimensional personality and his service to the people.
