MADURAI: Police in Madurai city are playing their part to send out public awareness message on prevention of spread of Coronavirus.
In Madurai city, police are extensively using drones and sound amplifiers in various places to draw the attention of local residents about the do’s and dont’s of COVID-19 and how to prevent Corona infection.
From 14th July 2020, the police are extensively using drones and started deploying them from 54 restricted areas identified due to corona cases. The use of drones for giving sound amplified audio messages was done at Old Kuyavarpalem, Munichalai, Ram Theatre and Kamarajpuram etc.
New Police Commissioner of Madurai City Mr.Prem Anand Sinha is monitoring this drone drive being done at public-crowded places. Announcements about Corona, use of face masks, social distancing, hand wash-sanitizer and public cooperation to control COVID are being done.
