MADURAI: The total lockdown on the second Sunday today got very good public support in Madurai as the shutters were down completely and all roads deserted here on 12th July 2020.
The Tamil Nadu State government had announced strictly that all four Sundays during the month of July will have curfew in the entire State in order to follow Corona control measures. Accordingly, all shops and establishments, hotels etc were closed. Only milk and medical shops and most essential services will be allowed.
In view of increasing number of Corona cases in Tamil Nadu, the government had decided to follow strict measures for preventing the spread of COVID-19 in all districts.
