MADURAI: Discussions at top level are underway in Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) here to recruit Assistant Professors for various departments in the varsity and fill up vacancies too by getting new teaching faculty wherever required.
Reliable sources said today that notification for this may be issued in the month of August to take up this process after getting clearance from the State government and Finance Committee.
“The list of vacancies is ready. There is a strong possibility that the university will go for recruiting 123 assistant professors (excluding distance education wing). Authorities are trying to complete that process very soon,” a source in MKU said on 11th July 2020.
Since this recruitment process is an important thing, MKU is expected to get a full-time Registrar very soon, maybe by the end of July, sources added. The university now has a Registrar in-charge.
