MADURAI: A 30-year-old auto mechanic by name Raja had committed suicide in Madurai today- 2nd July 2020- due to Coronavirus fear.
He is running an auto repair workshop at Pethaniyapuram i-Mettu Street- n Madurai. For the past few days, he was having a fever. Out of anxiety and fear that it will be Corona fever and COVID infection, Raja had committed suicide by hanging in his workshop.
Local people who watched him had informed Karimedu police here. Karimedu police rushed to the spot. The body was sent to the Government Rajaji Hospital (GRH) here for postmortem, according to information received today afternoon. Enquiry is going on.
