MADURAI: Once again Madurai city and several parts in Madurai district came under total lockdown from today- 24th June 2020.
Because of rising number of Corona positive cases in Madurai, the Tamil Nadu government had announced complete lockdown / tough restrictions on public movement during the one week complete lockdown which goes up to 30th June 2020.
Vehicles will be seized from those who are violating the lockdown rules. Easy Masi Street, Vilakkuthoon, Goripalayam and Kamarajar Salai which are normally busy crowded areas in Madurai city wore a deserted look from today morning due to lockdown and shutdown of shops. Special surveillance teams ad police are monitoring public movement at various points in Madurai city.
