MADURAI: The mortal remains of soldier Palani, who died while defending the country at Ladakh in the fight with Chinese forces, was brought to Madurai airport at around 11.30 pm on Wednesday night- 17th June 2020. Palani was killed by the Chinese forces on 15th June 2020.
The body was brought to Madurai by a special air force flight. Madurai District Collector Dr.T.G.Vinay, police commissioner Mr.Davidson Devasirvatham, corporation commissioner Mr.S.Visakan, Madurai MP Mr.S.Venkatesan, airport authorities, police and many other personalities had paid their tributes to braveheart Palani.
The body was later taken to his native place in Ramanathapuram district by road.
