MADURAI: Emotions and sentiments run in the blood of every Indian. From the times of Jawaharlal Nehru to Lal Bahadur Shastri to Indira Gandhi till V.P.Singh, India has seen the worst from China and Pakistan. Our Prime Ministers died for this country.
What has happened now, on 16th June 2020, with China killing over 20 Indian army soldiers at Ladakh while in line of duty protecting the Indian borders, is a deep shock for every Indian.
China is a country that must be looked at with suspicion because of past experiences.
But inviting the DRAGON COUNTRY’s President to India with a red carpet welcome, taking him and accompanying him to our monuments like Mamallapuram in Tamil Nadu and projecting that China is going to be India’s best friend and a reliable strong neighbour in India’s new foreign policy of Modi has proved to be a complete failure, sorry, it is a disaster.
Mr.Narendra Modi and the BJP must remember that our India’s former Prime Ministers like Nehru, Shastri, Mrs.Gandhi, V.P.Singh and Mr.P.V.Narasimha Rao etc had seen plenty during their period. There were foreign policy experts, diplomats, ambassadors and national security experts who briefed them time to time about China and Pakistan.
But, the BJP thinks that Modi knows more than Indira Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. They won the wars and made India proud. But Mr.Narendra Modi seems to be falting in his strategy despite the claims of a powerful global leader.
For the deaths of 20 Indian soldiers at Ladakh, for the brave work of our security forces to protect Kashmir borders and for their supreme sacrifice, the nation is mourning and also rising with anger against China. Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi must apologise to India for this faulty foreign policy with China. Because, you failed to learn from the bitter experiences of our India’s former Prime Ministers with China and Pakistan.
