MADURAI: India’s great media personality and investigative journalist N.Ram of ‘The Hindu’ is always an inspiration for media fraternity and a role model for journalists.
Shastry V Mallady attended his meeting in 1989 at Mylapore in Chennai where he spoke about Bofors scandal. I was a second year UG student of Vivekananda College in Chennai then. After the meeting, I went to this great journalist Mr.N.Ram for his autograph. This was in the year 1989.
I still cherish that meeting memory in Mylapore. Later, after my studies and worked in another newspaper, I had joined ‘The Hindu’ as a senior reporter in Madurai and worked there till I took Voluntary Retirement in 2015 in Madurai edition of ‘The Hindu’ newspaper.
