MADURAI: Complaints are coming from BJP cadres and office-bearers in Madurai region that the Tamil Nadu BJP State Secretary and spokesperson Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan is putting pressure with senior level police officers to stop police investigation into FIRs – cases registered against party district presidents and office-bearers.
BJP sources told this website today- on 31st May 2020- that Prof.Dr.R.Srinivasan is talking to the police in Virudhunagar district for the last two weeks to stop a FIR probe on BJP district president Radhakrishnan in Virudhunagar West district. (However, the party functionaries are satisfied that the police is doing its duty). A similar complaint has already come last week from Madurai Rural district that the same BJP leader is making attempts to remove police case / investigation against district president in a complaint lodged by a mandal president in Madurai rural district.
