MADURAI: Condemning the Centre’s decision to discontinue free electricity for farmers, the Congress party functionaries have staged a protest in Madurai today- 26th May 2020. They also lashed out at the Tamil Nadu government for siding with the central government in this important issue of farmers’ interests.
On behalf of the Madurai District Congress Committee, a protest was held in front of TNEB office near Pudur in Madurai city today demanding that free electricity for farmers should not be stopped or snapped.
Mr.V.Karthikeyan, district Congress president, led this demonstration criticizing the Centre’s anti-farmer move. Mr.C.M.Syedbabu, Tamil Nadu Congress Commitee State office-bearer and other party funcionaries including Mr.Rajasthan, Mr.PJ Kamaraj, Mr.Bismillah Khan (lawyers wing), Mr.Ravi and Mr.Balraj were among those who took part in the protest here.
