MADURAI: A direction was given to the Registrars of all universities under the aegis of Higher Education Department of Government of Tamil Nadu that re-employment of retired professors should not be done for vacant teaching posts and instructions were sent by Selvi Apoorva IAS, Principal Secretary to Government, since it will hamper the employment opportunities of qualified youngsters, according to a communication sent to State universities in Tamil Nadu in May 2020.
