MADURAI: The District Collector of Madurai district Dr.T.G.Vinay visited Railway Hospital in Madurai on 21st May 2020. He had appreciated the
conversion of dormitory type wards into cubicles, extension of centralized Oxygen supply, reception and segregation arrangements.
The district collector also appreciated the quality, promptness and details like fresh provision of window frames with mosquito net, ceiling renovation etc, a press release from Southern Railway Madurai Division said here today.
He stressed the need for frequent disinfection of toilets and bathrooms as these are common. It was decided that OPD in isolated building will continue to function as usual for routine treatment of around 25,000 railway employees, retired persons and their families. Isolated block of Railway Hospital will be used only as last resort for COVID-19 management with the help of manpower and resources by State government.
