6-MEMBER ROBBERY GANG ARRESTED IN MADURAI

MADURAI: A six-member gang which was planning to commit robbery at Jaihindpuram in Madurai city was arrested by police here yesterday on 16th May 2020. Deadly weapons were recovered from them and the six persons were sent to judicial custody, according to information received from police sources here today.

The gang was caught when Jaihindpuram (L&O) police station sub-inspector Vijay Anand who was on patrol duty yesterday found something suspicious with them at Bharathiar Street in Jaihindpuram. He enquired the six persons- Saravanakumar, Manikandan, Ramasubramanian, Vignesh, Kalimuthu and Manigandan.

They were found carrying life-threatening weapons and chilli powder with them. Jaihindpuram station police inspector Mr.Balamurugan had registered a case against the six persons and arrested them. During investigation, it came to light that the six-member gang had confessed that they planned a major robbery in Jaihindpuram area.
