MADURAI: After more than 60-days of COVID lockdown, the staff of Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) here will be back to work in their respective departments and sections from 18th May 2020.
The university Registrar in-charge Prof.Sankar Natesan has today issued a circular that the MKU will function for six days from Monday to Saturday with regular office timings. All the sections shall function with half the workforce i.e. 50 per cent in two batches and each batch has to work for two days followed by the next.
All the Chairpersons, Head of Departments, Principals, Nodal Officers and Head of the sections shall attend office on all working days. Staff members and officers shall be available for official work through electronic mode of communication, the MKU circular said.
Checking temperature at the gate before entering the campus, washing of hands before starting the work, wearing mask all the time and social distancing are mandatory, the MKU Registrar In-charge has said in the circular dated 16th May 2020 and informed that staff buses will be available.
