MADURAI: Tuticorin – Muzaffarpur ‘Shramik Special’ train has left from Tuticorin railway station at 14.25 hrs. today – on 16th May- and will reach Muzaffarpur at 15.30 hrs. on 18th May. Totally, 1,389 stranded migrants, stranded families and students are travelling in this special train.
Proper screening of passengers has been ensured before boarding the train and social distancing to be maintained during the travel. During the journey, passengers were provided with food packets and water bottles. The district administration and railways ensured orderly departure of the travelling guest workers, according to a press release from Southern Railway Madurai Division here today.

Mr.Prasanna, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Mr. Vivek Sharma, Divisional Mechanical Engineer and Mr.V.J.P. Anbarasu, Divisional Security Commissioner, Southern Railway, Madurai Division, were present at the Tuticorin railway station today when the train departed.
