CHENNAI: DMK president and Opposition leader Mr.M.K.Stalin has today taken a whirlwind visit to several areas in Chennai city to distribute relief and assistance to hundreds of families affected by Corona lockdown.
On 11th May 2020, he went to Harbour constituency where he handed over assistance for free marriage of three couples. Later, Mr.Stalin visited Rajah Annamalai Mandram to distribute rice, groceries and 15 essential commodities to families of 70 priests and 60 teachers, according to a press release from the DMK here today.
The DMK president also distributed face masks, sanitisers and N95 masks in various places during his visti to Chennai East distirct localities today. At Egmore, he presented certificates to those who donated blood and later at Thiru-Vi-Ka Nagar-Otteri Chellappa Street, he distributed rice and food essentials to 160 families.
Mr.Stalin also wen to Kolathur to provid ehelp to 400 daily wage workers who are depending on construction work for their livelihood. The press release said that the DMK president was keen to ensure that the lockdown affected needy families must get help in all areas such as Villivakkam etc.
