MADURAI: In order to fight against the Coronavirus pandemic in India, around 8000 Employees/ officers of Madurai Division, Southern Railway, contributed their one day salary to the tune of Rs.95 lakh, out of which more than 500 employees contributed five days salary to the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situation Fund also known as PM-CARES fund, according to the press release here today 8th May 2020.
Further, Mr. James Selvaraj, working as Loco-pilot, in Southern Railway, Madurai division, donated Rupees One lakh, towards PM-CARES fund.
Mr. V.R.Lenin, Divisional Railway Manager, Madurai Division, complimented for the individual contribution of the employee.
