MADURAI: Wearing black shirts in protest against the opening of TASMAC liquor outlets by Tamil Nadu government when the State is battling Coronavirus, DMK MLAs held protests, raised slogans and condemned the decision across the State today- 7th May 2020.
In Madurai, Tirupparankundram Assembly constituency MLA Dr.P.Saravanan led the protest before his hospital and criticized the urgency shown by AIADMK government to open liquor shops from today.
“We oppose the decision to open TASMAC shops and our party president Mr.M.K.Stalin has already condemned the decision. Various other political parties have also criticized the government for its hasty move,” the protesters raised slogans. Office-bearers of DMK Youth Wing took part in the protest in Madurai today.
