MADURAI: Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan had inspected the Mattuthavani Busstand in Madurai last night and early morning today from where the wholesale vegetable market is temporarily functioning.
Because of Coronavirus, the authorities had closed the central market and shifted it to MGR Busstand in Maattuthavani here. Steps were taken to ensure social distancing and prevent crowds in market places.
A press release from Madurai Corporation has said that the Commissioner had carried out inspection at the temporary wholesale vegetable market in Maattuthavani last night how the Corona lockdown guidelines and instructions are being followed.
He also inspected the temporary fish market there and instructed the shops to follow rules. Shops were given a warning that license will be cancelled if they violate the lockdown rules.
Corporation City Engineer Mr.S.Arasu and Assistant Commissioner Mr.Premkumar, were among those present during the Corporation Commissioner’s inspection.
