MADURAI: Surveillance of Corona positive affected areas which are called as containment zones are being closely monitored through CCTVS by the Madurai corporation from a special control room.
On 2nd May 2020, Mr.C.Kamaraj (IAS), Zonal level special officer to coordinate corona control and relief activities in Madurai district, had visited the Madurai Corporation building ‘Anna Maaligai’ where he inspected the control room and also enquired about spraying of disinfectants in different parts of the city, distribution of vitamin tablets to sanitary workers, special measures being taken in corona containment zones and social distancing.
Madurai Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan and his officers had explained to Mr.Kamaraj that the control room is monitoring the movement of people in restricted areas where corona positive cases were confirmed.
Availability of hand sprayer machines and distribution of herbal concoction ‘Kabasura Kudineer’ to residents in different areas were also taken to the attention of Mr.Kamaraj.
Mrs.V.Nagajothi, Corporation Deputy Commissioner, Mr.S.Arasu, City Engineer and senior officials were present during the inspection- review here today.
