MADURAI: A fake doctor who is running a clinic at Palanganatham in Madurai city and acting as a government doctor was arrested by S.S.Colony police here today – 28th April 2020.
During the present Corona lockdown, there was relaxation for hospitals and medical establishments. Based on a complaint given to the District Collector due to some suspicion, a sudden inspection was carried out at the clinic of fake doctor Murali Kannan today.
He was picked up by the police and arrested. Murali Kannan was posing as a government doctor and running a clinic in Palanganatham here for the past 10 years using some other doctor’s registration number and giving treatment to patients.
The arrested person belongs to Therkuvasal area in the city and the clinic name is Om Muruga Clinic. Joint Director of Health Dr.Sivakumar and S.S.Colony police inspector Mr. Arunachalam had inspected the clinic and arrested the person acting as a government doctor.
The registration number he used actually belongs to Kannagi Kandasamy of Salem.
