MADURAI: In an important move, the Madurai Corporation is supplying vitamin tablets to 5,000 sanitary workers in Madurai city and also distributing ‘Kabasura Kudineer’ herbal concoction to residents of areas from where Corona positive cases were confirmed.
On 27th April 2020, Madurai Corporation Commissioner Mr.S.Visakan along with senior officials had inspected the barricading work in sealed-closed-restricted localities here – Race Course Colony, Sellur Manavalan Nagar, Aanaiyur SVP Nagar and Sikkander Chavadi.
Giving importance to the safety of sanitary workers during this Corona time, the Corporation is providing them multivitamin / Zinc tablets to boost their disease resistant power. Herbal drink ‘Kabasura Kudineer’ is being supplied in door to door in affected areas to cover all residents.
Mr.Visakan also inspected the Amma Canteen at Anaiyur and enquired about supply of food to needy people. Instructions were given to carry out spraying of disinfectants daily. Corporation senior officials Mr.Palanisamy, Mr.Premkumar, Mr.Sekar, ACHO Dr.Vinodh Raja and PRO Mr.Chithravel were among those present during today’s inspection.
