MADURAI: Actor Superstar Rajinikanth’s followers and fans are taking part in helping the Corona lockdown affected people in several places under the aegis of Rajini Makkal Mandram.
In Madurai city, the office-bearers and members of Madurai Urban unit of Rajini Makkal Mandram are providing food to the affected needy people since 15th April and it will go on till 30th April.
“We are distributing food packets to 700 persons everyday covering various places in Madurai city. We are doing this as our service activity during this Corona crisis,” Mr.P.Alagarsamy, Madurai Urban District Secretary, Rajini Makkal Mandram, has said today- 22nd April 2020.
The superstar’s followers are preparing food at Sellur and sending the food packets to several places for distribution. Sellur Urban PHC, helping of Nepal families, taking the support of police to reach the food to deserving people, food supply at Bhagavathi Amman Koil 2nd Street in Madhichiyam area etc were some of the activities taken by the Mandram volunteers here.
Mr.Alagarsamy said that vegetable biriyani, lemon rice. sambar rice etc are being prepared with the support of Muthupandi Catering in Sellur. Those who are involved in food supply service activity include Mr.M.M.Muthupandi, Avaniapuram Bala, Retd ADSP Kumaravel and Balanan.
