CHENNAI: An ambulatory electric battery operated vehicle was donated to the Rajiv Gandhi General Hospital in Chennai today to move and shift serious patients from other wards to the COVID ICU ward within the hospital premises. This battery operated vehicle was donated to the hospital by Jain International Trade Organisation (JITO), Chennai Chapter, today- 22nd April 2020.
It was handed over to the Dean of Rajiv Gandhi General Hospital Dr.Jayanthi and other doctors in the presence of JITO Chennai Chapter Chairman Mr.Doulat Jain, its chief secretary Nimish Tolia, treasurer Manish Mardia, Apex Vice-President Abhaya Srisrimal and Zone Chairman Ravikant Choudhary.
“The members of JITO Chennai Chapter show their social responsibility during this Corona pandemic crisis time. This is a COVID relief activity to help patients because shifting them to the ward becomes easy,” a press release said here today.
JITO Chennai Chapter also donated 1,000 sets of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) kits and 10 video laryngoscopes (to monitor the corona virus inside a patient’s throat and lungs) to the Rajiv Gandhi General Hospital in Chennai.
