MADURAI: To express thanks and gratitude to police personnel who are working day and night during the current Corona lockdown period, a family had done ‘padha pooja’ for police at Silaiman in Madurai on 19th April 2020.
Ever since the lockdown- curfew came into force in the last week of March, the police are spending long hours in their duty by doing their best for Corona prevention measures.
So, Ms.Vijayabharathi and her family members went to Silaiman police station in the city today afternoon where she washed the feet as a mark of gratitude for their life-saving role during the present Corona crisis.
The ‘Padha Pooja’ was done for station’s police inspector Mr.Madasamy, to women constables and thanked the police station personnel for protecting the people of Madurai from Corona. Madurai district has 44 Corona positive cases as of today evening- 19th April 2020.
