MADURAI: Philanthropy, social service, helping the needy, donations, contributions and willingness to serve. These are all happening now everywhere because of the long lockdown in the battle against Coronavirus.
Since availability of food is first and foremost, many voluntary organizations are doing their bit in providing essential food items, groceries etc to the needy people and poor families. A voluntary service team under the name ‘PNS Nanbargal Kuzhu’ is providing quality tasty food to many people through its volunteer team in Tirunagar in Madurai city.
Their active participation in this service was very much visible on 16th April 2020. The PNS Nanbargal Kuzhu has 60-member volunteer team formed by Mr.S.Raja-Poorna Chandra.
The volunteers are serving free food starting from morning to the poor, destitute, deserving people and to those who are involved in Corona control measures for the present lock down.
Besides food packets, the PNS Nanbargal team is also giving drinking water bottles, biscuits and tea. Face masks too are being supplied.
