MADURAI: Effective and easy way of communication is important to create public awareness about Corona virus, its spread and infection. Mere issuing of warnings and talking about lockdown is not enough to take COVID-19 message to all sections of society especially farmers, vegetable sellers, vendors and rural people.
A police inspector in Madurai has donned the role of an effective teacher communicator to explain in simple language about Corona virus, how it spreads and what to do for its prevention. And, the place this woman inspector Ms.Madhana Kala had chosen was Thiruparankundram vegetable market in Madurai on 15th April 2020.
She had demonstrated to the people gathered there Corona prevention measures, the importance of hand gloves are ordinary covers by vegetable sellers and why one should wear a mask while coming outside.
Thiruparankundram police station inspector Ms.Madhana Kala’s Corona talk was well received by people in that market as she spoke about physical distancing and staying at home till the lockdown period is over on 3rd May 2020.
This awareness talk was done in Thiruparankundram area along with Tamil Nadu State Disaster Response Force.
