MADURAI: Four persons were arrested by Madurai district police for playing (gambling) cards near here on 15th April 2020. They were caught while playing gambling in a coconut farm at Kodimangalam which comes under the jusridiction of Nagamalai Pudukottai police.
Police who were on patrol duty in connection with Corona virus lockdown restrictions have found them playing cards. Since they violated the lockdown restrictions and also indulged in playing cards in public, police arrested the four persons. A cash of Rs.1,400 was seized from them.
