MADURAI: A 26-year-old Muslim youth at Keelamathur near Sholavandhan in Madurai district had tested Corona virus CIVID-19 Positive today. The complete area has been sealed by authorities and blood samples were taken from residents of that locality for Corona infection tests as a precautionary measure.
Sources said that the youth had attended the Islamic congregation meeting in Delhi last month. Since he returned from Delhi, local police and health department staff took him to the Government Rajaji Hospital for Corona related medical tests and results had first showed Corona negative.
Then, he was taken to the Corona Treatment Center Camp at Thoppur where he was kept under isolation quarantine. It was found that this youth got Corona infection.
As he tested COVID-19 Positive, the authorities became alert and imemdiately block Keelamathur village. It was sealed to prevent movement.
Blood samples were taken from 77 persons- of his relatives and contacts- and health authorities are monitoring waiting for results.
